Greta von Kirchmann promotes, sells, writes about, and thinks about art and culture. This incarnation of her partnership and marriage with Jason is not the first venture they've been on together. But this one is special because of key elements that make a viable project: something to sell, and the love of the product or service.
These elements have come together for sustainability. For Greta, the opportunity to partner with an artist to create a business became the opportunities to be: photographer, webmaster, management, writer, travel agent and roadie, etc.
Her background began with the study of ballet from early childhood, and exposure to the arts and philosophy via travel and day trips to Washington, D.C. with her mother. Raised in Reston and Herndon, Virgina, she eventually attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

These days she studies human intelligence and consciousness with an eye toward the current paradigm, and considers that "renaissance" and "enlightenment" are important ideas today.
Long-term college plan's are still in motion, while nearing completion of her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the University of Virginia. Her self-directed focus is Human Culture.

Two Purchase Awards at Seawall this year! And, First Place/Best in Show in 2007 This August at one of our favorite festivals--the Seawall Art Show--Jason was chosen for two separate purchase awards by patrons of this non-profit annual event. Our first year there, at the 2007 Seawall Art Show, Jason received the $2,000 first place award. It was an incredible feeling for him to be recognized for the art and craft he had been working at for only a few years! If you're in the Tidewater Virginia area in late August, go to this lovely event--an intimate setting at the water's edge. And all proceeds go to fund the arts in Portsmouth.

Director's Choice Award Jason was honored to receive the Director's Choice Award at the fall 2009 Crozet Arts & Crafts Festival in Crozet, Virginia. This is one of our best shows every year (both the spring and fall events) due to the caliber of those who run the event, the artists who display, and the devoted crowds who attend. The turnout at the fall 2009 show was fantastic--way off the charts! Don't miss this weekend of fine art & craft, wine tastings, and exquisite scenery in the Virginia countryside.

Jewelry = Art Jason and fourteen other studio jewelers/designers from across the country were sought out by a new gallery in Austin, Texas called The Art of Jewelry. We're excited to be involved with these entrepreneurs who declare, without hesitation, what exactly they consider jewelry to be! And we agree. If you have the good fortune to visit Austin--a city brimming with creativity and intellect--stop by and see what they're doing. These folks also have a very large gallery of contemporary paintings and fine prints.
